In the world of digital printing, spilled ink is a part of life - don’t let a small splash destroy a very expensive print head! This protective shield is ideal for reducing the likelihood of errant ink drops finding their way onto your FFC ribbon cables.
If any ink or cleaning solution drips or is splashed from above (for instance, when disconnecting or replacing dampers) it is redirected and captured before it can make its way to the sensitive electronics. In addition, the tall fluted cable guards ensure the ribbon cables are not exposed at the level of the dampers, so a spill or puncture is far less likely to affect your print head.
These i3200 print head shields are perfect for DTF or DTG water based printers (not for use with UV or solvent systems), but check your side clearance to ensure they will fit your particular head block configuration. Most two-head systems will have plenty of room but it might be tight with a four-head system - we will release a slimmer version for more compact print head blocks, soon!
